- We do not know what goes behind closed doors.
- One may outwit another, but not all the others.
- We can be more clever than one, but not more clever than all.
- If we are lucky and brought up in a way that empowers us then we would have a better start in life then others.
- A single meaningful and calming statement is better than one thousand pointless ones.
- Unless we are putting money on it nothing is at stake.
- No speech but facts convince. This does not apply to fools and donkeys.
- If everyone thought alike no goods would be ever sold.
- If all pulled in one direction, the world would keel over.
- Every man thinks his own thoughts are the best.
- Who find a faithful friend finds a treasure.
- Wherever we go habit and character go with us.
- Five fingers are brothers but not equal.
- We must realise that our likes and dislikes are not necessary shared by others.
- Parents and the best teachers can give everything but commonsense.
- Guests like fish began to smell after three days.
- A guest and a fish after three days are poison.
- There is no way to judge risk and similarly no way to judge expertise. In a very essential way there can be no real experts, It is their educated guesses and approaches trial and error procedures. The real expert is us.
